Almost 110 countries, and more than 1100 participants from all around the world will arrive to Budapest next summer to fill the BOK Hall for nine days, and to create unforgettable memories for the sport, for the organizers and for you, the volunteers
The Hungarian national team is already preparing for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, and the World Championships will be the most important qualifying tournament for the games, so the team is
delighted to compete at home, in front of enthusiastic fans and family members.
If you want to experience the feeling of being part of a fencing competition, feel like being member of the well-known "fencing family", and to experience it all through a World Championship, then this is your opportunity!

Communication, press office
Communication, press office Would you like to meet exciting people? Are you helpful? Are you interested in working in the field of television / journalism or would you like to know how communication works of a monumental
sport event are organized? Then apply to volunteer at the press office of the World Fencing Championship.
VIP, connecting events, catering
Are you interested in sport’s diplomacy? Do you feel comfortable among high-ranked officials and guests? If you are firm and polite, then this is your place. Join us as a volunteer and learn how to welcome a special
guest, show sport leaders to their sitting places, or invite a former champion to a coffee.
Directoire technique, weapon control, piste team
If you know the rules and other secrets of fencing or you've already worked in other fencing competitions, then the DT is the right place for you, where you will be able to support the fencers and the organizing staff with
Hospitality (information desk, hotels, accreditation desk, catering)
If you speak multiple languages and you can quickly and accurately help with the information’s flow, and besides you are determined or you have experience in hotel business or hospitality as well, this area is for you!
Welcome the teams upon arrival or participate in the accreditation process. It will be exciting!
Airport and venue transfers
Are you confident in a foreign language? Do you like to work either alone or in a team? Would you like to meet new people or to experience new challenges? Can you handle unexpected situations calmly? Do you precisely keep
deadlines? Then it is not a problem for you to coordinate shuttle buses between the hotels and the venue, or the airport buses.
Secretariat (organizing committee, entries, assistant, financials)
We are looking for precise, fast and responsible volunteers in this area. It is an advantage if you have previously
worked as an assistant or on other office tasks. If you handle the official documents correctly and you are precise in administration, then your place in the organizing office is waiting for you.
TV, sport presentation, medal ceremony, announcement of results
Are you familiar with the world of displays and spotlights? You do not become embarrassed if you have to help a high-ranked person? You have previously worked on medal ceremonies? Then this is your area!
